In 2003, Trend Micro established a Shared Services Centre in Cork, Ireland for many of its back office EMEA functions.
Trend Micro plans to expand its existing workforce by almost 70%, recruiting 100 people over the next three years.
As part of the ambitious expansion plan, Trend Micro will grow many of the existing functions and teams including its existing technical customer support. In addition, the company plans to establish a new European anti-malware service, supporting TrendLabs’ global threat research and support in other regions. As a result, the Cork office will increasingly play a strategic role in its parent company’s global business.

It has responsibility for fifteen functions, including financial shared services, business application services centre and technical support.
